Welcome to AGTG Travel Blog

Gamarjoba! Hello and welcome to AGTG’s travel blog.  This one of a kind blog is to inspire you and offer you a virtual tour of Georgia by featuring traditional Georgian foods, award winning wines, ancient cities, UNESCO World Heritage sites, village life, and much more.

First a little history of why I love Georgia.

My husband and I went to Georgia for the first time in July 2010 and after touring the country with my Georgian friends from America and Georgia, I fell in love with Georgia and the Georgian people.  Georgians are the most hospitable people I’ve ever met and I should know – I lived in Japan and travelled extensively in Southeast Asia.  I visited England and the European continent several times.   The Swiss have their Alps, the Germans their delightful beer and schnitzel, and the Asians offer a variety of tasty food.  The Georgians have this and so much more!  Georgians have a gift of making you feel like you are their long lost friend and this country of about 4.5 million Georgians located on the legendary Silk Road, has a culture that begs to be explored and experienced.

The American Georgian Travel Group is excited to introduce you and your clients to Georgia.  We want to share our love of Georgia with its lush vineyards, majestic mountains, breathtaking vistas, the sparkling Black Sea resort, traditional polyphonic music and dancing, and its ancient history.

Join AGTG on this adventure and virtually walk the same ground that pre-Christians traveled in the Kingdom of Colchis.

We invite you to subscribe to our bi-monthly blog updates via email or RSS feed delivered to your inbox. AGTG’s blogs are designed to inform and educate you~ the travel professional ~ on Eastern Europe’s newest destination – Georgia.
